Pear Nighthawk Earth has had such an interesting musical journey and transformation from their early days to the new album that just dropped. This is the bands first record record. Dylan Carlson as the main songwriter/guitarist, Joe Preston on bass and precussion; Dan Harwell also on bass, and Kurt Cobain shows up on a few tracks. This record is heavy, despondent, dissonant and hypnotic all at the same time and marks the start of a great discography.

jcm8168 instrumentals are my faves. even the lesser liked ones are better than the ones with vocals, which are only a handful luckily. actually hate the vocal songs. lannegan and cobain are great but I just can't get into those songs, man. old black was the first song i heard after reading so much about earth's shift from earlier noise (in arthur magazine???)...i owned phase 3 when it came out but skipped pentastar then went back and forth through newer catalog and this comp. love hibernaculum. thanks.
